Interview: (virtual) Music Camp Organizers

Ministry of Folk co-founder Summer McCall sat down with five organizers in the music community to talk about their decisions to move music camps online this summer. These leaders ventured with their camps into the pandemic storm, attempting to create a virtual experience for folks all around the world this summer at a time when we needed it the most. You’ll hear Mike Block (Mike Block String Camp Online), Alasdair Fraser (Heart of Sierra), Katie McNally (Boston States Fiddle Camp Online Festival), Chris Stone (Stringmania Online), and Will Wheeler (Virtual Lark Camp) reflecting on their experiences running virtual camps and creating the magic that they did. We hope this video will inspire others who might be thinking about how to keep the camp spirit alive in a time where social gatherings aren't possible.
Stay tuned for our own exciting camp-related announcement dropping on Monday!
